Welcome to the Mini-ST PRESCHOOL Webpage!
I Did Nothing Today
When children come home at the end of the day
The question they're asked as they run out to play is,
"Tell me what did you do at school today?"
And the answer they give
Makes you sigh in dismay
"Nothing, I did nothing today!"
Perhaps nothing means
That I played with blocks, counted to ten, or sorted some rocks
Maybe I painted or learned how to tie my shoe
Or I learned what happens when you mix red and blue
Maybe I learned to tuck in my chair and put my work away
Or maybe I learned to be kind to friend while I was playing outside today
Maybe my scissors followed a line and I learned to write my name
Maybe I learned some sounds or numbers or learned to play a new game......
When your in preschool
And your heart has wings,
can mean so many, many things
A Donation of flushable wipes will be appreciated

We will start with the contrast between the short vowel sounds and the long vowel sounds. Specifically between short a and long A or ae and a..e. (cap as opposed to cape). Here are some of the Long A patterns: ate, cave, lay, eight, laid. However, we will start with the words that are in the silent "e" pattern and go from always in contrast to short a.
The emphasis is on sounds.
At the same time we wii review the consonant sounds by tracing those consonant letters starting with B.
